1. GridLog: MGRS SAR Handover — what the App does

GridLog: MGRS SAR Handover is a local-first field logging tool for search-and-rescue personnel, outdoor leaders, and first responders. It helps you read and record MGRS/UTM coordinates, attach operational notes and evidence to waypoints, and export mission records for handover.

The App stores mission data on your device. It does not provide certified navigation, emergency alerting, two-way rescue communication, or official agency reporting on its own.

2. Important safety and operational disclaimer

GridLog is a secondary documentation and mission logging tool. It is not a substitute for certified navigation equipment, life-safety communication devices, personal locator beacons, professional rescue judgment, or your organization's official incident documentation procedures.

GPS and MGRS outputs depend on device hardware, satellite visibility, and environmental conditions. You are responsible for verifying coordinates, fix quality, and operational decisions before acting on logged information or sharing exports.

• Do not rely on GridLog as your only means of navigation or emergency communication.
• Follow your agency's policies for SAR operations, evidence handling, and data sharing.
• Accuracy gates in the App reduce but do not eliminate the risk of misleading coordinates.

3. Eligibility and acceptable use

You must comply with applicable laws and use GridLog only for lawful purposes. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law; interfere with App security or integrity; or use the App to harass, mislead, or endanger others.

4. Accounts, data, and local storage

GridLog does not require you to create an account. Mission data, photos, audio notes, and exports are stored locally on your iPhone unless you choose to share them through email, AirDrop, cloud storage, or other channels you control.

You are responsible for backing up or exporting mission records you need to retain, and for securing your device against unauthorized access.

5. Free version, GridLog Pro, and App Store purchases

The free version includes one reusable training mission with up to five text waypoints. GridLog Pro is a non-consumable Lifetime in-app purchase that unlocks additional features such as unlimited missions, photo and radio evidence, branded exports, GIS file formats, and operator presets.

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Pricing, payment, refunds, and purchase restoration are subject to Apple's terms and policies. We do not operate a separate subscription billing system for GridLog.

6. Intellectual property

The App, Site, trademarks, logos, and documentation are owned by CodeMXM or its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or organizational field logging in accordance with these Terms and the App Store rules.

7. Third-party services

GridLog may integrate with Apple frameworks such as MapKit, StoreKit, and system location services. If enabled in a future version, optional third-party services such as purchase validation providers may process limited technical data necessary to deliver their function. 8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App and Site are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free exports, or that logged coordinates will meet regulatory or agency certification requirements.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeMXM shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, mission records, profits, or operational outcomes arising from your use of GridLog: MGRS SAR Handover, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the App or Site shall not exceed the amount you paid for GridLog Pro in the twelve months before the claim, or US$25 if you use the free version.

10. Termination and changes

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
